HOA Committee Membership
Our community is only as great as its residents. I challenge everyone to become an integral part of our “community of volunteers”. If you want to find out more about a particular HOA committee, would like to volunteer to serve on one or more committees, please contact the committee’s Board liaison.
Committee Duties
The HOA Board of Directors consists of nine volunteers who are resident homeowners elected by all property owners. All committees are approved and charged with their respective duties by the Board. Committees are extremely valuable and influential in part because they provide recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the issues that are of concern to them. The following is an overview of the committees:
Architectural Control Committee (ACC)
Responsible for reviewing and approving new construction by builders and improvement requests from homeowners. Their decision is based on interpreting the Covenants and assuring the goals and objectives of the Promontory Pointe HOA are being met.
Communications Committee
Maintains the Homeowner Data Base, communicates news and information to the membership via the HOA email distribution list, and develops and publishes HOA newsletters.
Landscape & Grounds Committee
Responsible for monitoring our common areas, working with the Property Manager to assure landscape contract requirements are met and landscape maintenance issues are properly addressed. Encourages beautification efforts in our neighborhood.
Recreation Committee
Responsible for oversight of HOA recreation facilities including the pool, playground and sport court. Coordinates distribution of recreation access cards, and establishes recreation policies and rules.
Security Committee
Manages the neighborhood Cellular On Patrol (COP) program and other safety and security programs including National Night Out. Identifies and reports safety/security items such as burned out streetlights, downed or damaged street signs and traffic control signs. Keeps homeowners advised of security issues and works to keep our community a safe and enjoyable place to live.
Social Committee
Plans and organizes community parties, projects and events to increase a sense of community and build rapport among neighbors. Events in the past have included an Easter Egg Hunt, Fiesta event, and Halloween parade.
Please consider contributing your time and talents to a committee! Our volunteers make an invaluable difference in our community.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors, PPHOA
